Size & Length Guide
Necklace & Chain Length
Where a chain sits depends on both its length and your height and build. These are typical drops on an average adult frame — add an inch or two if you prefer a looser look or are taller.
| Length | Style | Where it falls |
|---|---|---|
| 14" | Collar | Sits tight around the base of the neck. |
| 16" | Choker | Rests right at the base of the throat. |
| 18" | Princess | Falls just below the collarbone — the most common length. |
| 20" | Matinée | Sits a couple of inches below the collarbone. |
| 22" | Matinée | Reaches the top of the neckline. |
| 24" | Opera | Rests on the chest, near the sternum. |
To measure a chain you already own: lay it flat and measure clasp to end, then double any pendant drop you want to add.
Bracelet
Measure snugly around your wrist just below the wrist bone, then add about ½" for comfort. If a piece lists a set length, that measurement is the full clasped circumference.
| Size | Fits |
|---|---|
| Small | 6" – 6½" wrist |
| Medium | 6½" – 7" wrist |
| Large | 7" – 7½" wrist |
Ring
The most reliable way to size a ring is to have one you already wear measured by a jeweler. At home, wrap a strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimetres — that's your finger's circumference.
- US 6 ≈ 51.9 mm
- US 7 ≈ 54.4 mm
- US 8 ≈ 57.0 mm
- US 9 ≈ 59.5 mm
Fingers run larger later in the day and in warm weather — measure when your hands are at a normal temperature.
